Michael Deutmeyer received his training as an engineer and economist at the Karlsruhe Institute ofTechnology, Germany and at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He has spent most of his professional career in leading positions in the automotive industry(BMW) and renewable energy (CHOREN/Green Resources AS). Michael gathered specific know how in the area of alternative fuels, bioenergy, hybrid minigrids and energy storage. Since early 2015 Michael took over the position of managing director of EAS Germany GmbH – a producer of high quality cylindrical lithium ion cells based at Nordhausen, Germany in order to drive the company’s expansion. Michael and his family are based in Hamburg.
