Dr. Lilian Schwich is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of cylib. She completed her doctorate degree in battery recycling from the Institute of Process Metallurgy and Metal Recycling (IME) at RWTH Aachen University. In recognition of her pioneering research and groundbreaking technological advancements, she was honored with the NRW Innovation Award in2023.
During her doctoral studies, Dr. Schwich established the battery recycling working group, supervising 16 doctoral candidates, and leading numerous international projects to advance a circular economy for batteries, effectively bridging industry and research. Additionally, she implemented her deep technical expertise and innovative strategies as a technical consultant in the field of battery recycling, building a strong network within the battery and recycling sectors. Dr. Schwich holds a master's degree in materials engineering from RWTH Aachen University and was a recipient of the Bildungsfonds scholarship during her studies.
